Earth Day as a celebration of the glory of the goddess is a very personal matter for me at many levels. I expected to see more of a rejoicing rather then a cartoon waterfall on Google. I hoped to see people show their appreciation for the grace of the mother goddess. Instead, I continue to see them toss their cigarette butts out of car windows and throw plastic bottles everywhere. I often ask myself, “What is the matter with us?” Why can’t we seem to get it through our heads that the earth is our mother and we must take care of her? When will we begin to honor the responsibility of stewardship and show our love and appreciation for her our supreme mother?
What is this disconnection so many of us feel is a birthright? What will it take to convince humanity that we are one? The truth is we are joined by energetic roots which hold us to this blue rock. We are not only part of a system. We are the system. What we do and think makes an impact on each and every being. Our thoughts become form. Let’s make a commitment to look at what we are thinking. We must choose to be responsible for what is going on here. Ancient humans had it together worshiping the goddess. Take a look at their techniques and adopt them as your own.
The Taurus new moon on May 5, is a call to connect deeply with nature. Decide to go out, experience her in all of her glory and feel your relationship with her. The macrocosm has the ability to heal and cure us in so many ways. We humans just as all animals have an unspoken deep desire to commune and be natural.
